Why are british girls bustier?

I just read that on average, british girls have a D cup size! I feel like in the US it's like a B or maybe a C. I'm DD so I feel big over here but if D is average for them they must have some girls who are just huge! I think the US has a bigger obesity problem so does anyone know what causes all these big chested brits?
