How much do I have to wait before asking her out again?

Okay basically, I like this girl, she likes me back. She just broke with her "one day relationship" guy. She already told me she likes me more. Thing is, I was pretty tired that night and I asked her out without thinking. And she said "look I cant answer you now, I cant get together with another guy 5 hours after i broke up with another" heres the thing. I'll wait as long as it takes. With the summer coming up unfortunately, we wont be able to meet up too much. Question: HOW LONG should I wait, in order to ask her out again?? thanks to whoever bothers answering :)
